Good to know before you start.
Do I need internet to use BentaLog?
Not for daily use. Selling, stock and receipts all work offline, and your data is saved on your device. You need internet once to activate a paid license, and for Pro Plus syncing.
Which devices does it run on?
Windows computers and Android phones and tablets, with the same features on both.
Where is my data kept?
On your own device. You can save a backup file at any time and restore it on another device. With Pro Plus, a copy is also kept in your cloud account so your devices can sync and you can view your shop on the web.
What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
You go back to the Free plan. Your products, sales and records stay. Free allows up to 50 products, so if you have more you can keep selling but cannot add new ones. Pro features such as customer credit and expenses are locked until you upgrade.
Which receipt printers work?
58 mm and 80 mm thermal printers. On Windows you print through the normal print dialog. On Android you can print directly to a paired Bluetooth printer. Cash drawers that connect through the printer can be opened from the app.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Basic and Pro licenses work on one device each. Pro Plus works on up to 3 devices (for example your shop PC and your phone) and keeps them in sync through the cloud. On the Free plan, each device keeps its own separate data.
How long does a license last?
Basic and Pro are one-time purchases. You pay once and the license does not expire. Pro Plus is a yearly license, because it includes cloud sync and the web dashboard, which cost us to run every month. We email you 14 days and 7 days before it ends, then every day in the last 3 days. If it is not renewed, BentaLog goes back to the Pro plan and keeps all your data on your device.
How does activating my license work?
After you buy, you get a license key by email. Enter it in BentaLog (or choose the .txt file) while you are online. This links the key to your device, and after that the app works offline. Basic and Pro keys work on one device, and Pro Plus on up to 3. Changing phones or computers? Release the old device on the License screen first, or message us and we will move it. No internet at your shop? Send us the device code shown on the License screen and we will make an offline key.

- Download the file on your phone.Tap the button above. Your browser may say “This type of file can harm your device”. Tap Download anyway (or Keep).
- Open the file.Tap the download notification, or open your Files or Downloads app and tap
BentaLog.apk. - Allow your browser to install apps, one time.If your phone says “For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”, tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then press back. You can switch it off again after the install.
- Let Google Play Protect check it.If Play Protect shows “App scan recommended” or a Scan app button, tap Scan app and wait a moment. It checks the app with Google and tells you the result. If it says “Blocked by Play Protect” or “unknown developer”, tap More details then Install anyway, but only because you got the file from this page.
- Tap Install, then Open.Enter your license key (or choose your license
.txtfile) on the License screen, or just start your 30-day trial.
The exact words differ between phone brands (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and others) and Android versions, but the steps are the same.
Want to check it first?
Scan with Google Play Protect. Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Play Protect. Tap Scan to check the apps on your phone, including BentaLog. Under the gear icon, keep Scan apps with Play Protect on. If Improve harmful app detection is on, Play Protect can also send an app it has not seen before to Google to be checked.
A scan is a safety check by Google. It is not a Google Play approval, so you may still see the warnings above.
What BentaLog asks for. It needs internet (to activate your license and for Pro Plus sync) and Nearby devices (Bluetooth), only so it can print to your receipt printer. It does not ask for your contacts, messages, photos or location. Your shop data stays on your phone.
“App not installed”
Make sure the download finished, and download it again if the file is very small. If you already have BentaLog from another source, uninstall it first (export a backup from the app before you do). Check that your phone has free storage.
I cannot find the downloaded file
Open your Files app and look in Downloads, or open Chrome, tap the three dots, then Downloads.
Play Protect keeps blocking the install
Tap More details then Install anyway. If your phone only offers OK, let the Play Protect scan finish and try the install again. Still stuck? Message us and we will help.
How do I update later?
Download the newest file from this page and install it over the old one. Your products, sales and settings stay. We keep the latest version here.
